Man dies in White County oil field accident


WHITE COUNTY (WSIL) -- A man has died after an oil field accident in White County.

On Monday, July 26 around 10:50 p.m. White County 911 received a call from an employee of Consolidated Drilling Services.

The caller reported they were drilling an oil well, south of Carmi. The caller said they were loading oil field pipe into tubs, when the elevator latch came undone and the pipe they were loading struck employee, Joseph Musgrave.

The White County Ambulance and White County Sheriff's Office both responded to the accident.

Musgrave was taken to Hamilton County Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
